Admissions to these medical colleges are done on the basis of NEET score and the counseling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Maharashtra State, Mumbai via State CET Cell, Maharashtra.

Steps and Procedure for Direct MBBS Admission in Maharashtra

Here is the step-by-step process for Direct MBBS Admission in Maharashtra under Management Quota or NRI Quota Seats, follow these steps very carefully.

Step-1: NEET Qualification

You must qualify NEET-UG Entrance Exam conducted by NTA India.

Step-2: Registration

After Qualifying NEET-UG Entrance Exam, you need to register yourself and pay the registration fee for counselling like MCC India and/or DMER Maharashtra (State CET Cell)

Step-3: Choice Filling and Locking

After registering, you will get option to give your preference of course and institutes.

Step-4: Allotment

Based on your choices filled, NEET scores, Reservation Criteria, Seats Available, and other aspects allotments will be released by the counselling authorities.

Step-5: Reporting

After granting MBBS seats into any Private Medical College or Deemed Medical College, you need to report to the college within the stipulated date and time.

Important:

  • Two Rounds of Counselling will be conducted. If someone didn’t get any allotment in Round I, candidate can register and make fresh choice for the second round of the counselling (You no need to register again if you already registered for round I)
  • After the conclusion of both counselling rounds if seats remain vacant, the counselling authorities will conduct mop-up rounds.
