Direct MBBS Admission in Bangalore

Bangalore is one of the most preferred cities in India for the higher education in medicine as well as Engineering, Management and other courses.

In Bangalore City, there are 13 Private Medical Colleges and 3 Government Medical Colleges offering MBBS course in the affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) Bangalore and almost all medical colleges are recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) New Delhi.

These 16 Medical Colleges in Bangalore making 2725 MBBS seats in total out of those 2200 are private seats and 525 seats are government.

All those Private Medical Colleges offer MBBS Program are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) Bangalore except Rajarajeswari Medical College Bangalore, it is affiliated to Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute (Deemed to be University).

Eligibility Criteria for Direct MBBS Admission in Bangalore (Karnataka)

If you are willing to enroll for Direct MBBS Admission in Bangalore (Karnataka) under Management Quota or NRI Quota seats, you have to follow the below criteria which are recommended by the National Medical Commission and the Medical Education Department of India

  • You should pass second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government, the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject.
  • You should pass these subjects (PCB) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State).
  • You should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of Admission.
  • You must have appeared in the NEET-UG Entrance Exam conducted by the NTA and also have secured the minimum qualifying marks.

In addition to all above mentioned eligibility criteria, you also need to register for the Karnataka NEET Counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) and All India Deemed Medical University Counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

How to get Direct MBBS Admission in Bangalore?

After Qualifying the NEET Entrance Exam, you need to do the registration for Karnataka NEET Counselling from the KEA Web Portal.

After the successful registration for the counselling, you will be invited for documents verification, due to the current situation it would be done online.

Just you need to upload all said documents in the portal and you will be notified in the dashboard of the portal once your documents will be verified.

Once the documents verification will be concluded, you will be allowed to select the colleges as per your choice and submit your choices and then you have to wait for the result declaration.

PS: There will be two rounds of the counselling conducted online. MOP-UP round also will be conducted in the offline mode for the vacant and left-over seats.
