Various colleges are allotted to students through Counselling.

It goes in two parts: – First there will be central counselling. secondly, there will be state counseling.

Counseling is of two rounds which are conducted by mcc.nic.in.

Points to follow in the portal: –

  1. Students have to register themselves in the portal.
  2. Choice filling of colleges has to be done correctly.

Seats are allotted to the students on the basis of their scores and on the basis of the colleges selected by them.

You have to choose the college carefully because once seats have been allotted and you are not interested to join the said college then in such cases the security amount is Non-refundable.

There are some facts you need to pay attention to because the budget depends on these factors. The budget is fixed according to the demand for seats.

Talking about seats there is a total of 83,175 MBBS seas available in India. There are 285 Government colleges with 43,335 seats and 269 private colleges with 39,840 seats.

The ratio for getting admission to a Government college is 1:160 whereas private colleges have a different ratio because some states do not allow students from outside to take admitted to their college. Here the seat ratio will be approximately 1:100.

Competition is high in the market, but if you have the right knowledge and planning, then you can easily take admission.

The second fact is that the student should be from the domicile state or what we call the home state because each state has different policies to be followed.
