Selection of Candidates

The selection of students to medical college is based on merit of the candidate and will be followed as per Medical Council of India rules & regulations. Seats sharing as per consensual Agreement between Government of Karnataka, Management, and admission in the NRI seats.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility Criteria regarding age and Qualifying Marks for different categories are as Per Rule 4 of The Medical Council of India:

1) Candidates having secured 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at 10+2 level or any equivalent exam and must have English as a subject.
2) The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December of the year of admission.

Duration of the Course:

Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 ½ academic years divided into 9 semesters,(i.e. of 6 months each) from the date of commencement of his study for the subjects comprising the medical curriculum to the date of completion of the examination and followed by one year compulsory rotating internship.
